Hayden's Baptism

We've had a lot going on over the last several weeks since my last post including a Memorial Day weekend SC trip to visit family/friends and lots of end of school year activities. But the most important event of all was Hayden's baptism! He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior a little after 10 pm on thursday April 4th (4 days after Easter) after watching the final installment of the Bible series. It was such an incredible moment as I was able to lead my son to Christ!! He was sobbing and shaking as he fully understood the magnitude of what Christ did for him on the cross and those emotions completely overcame him...but then there was complete peace that washed over him as he made that life-changing prayer. It was amazing, Todd was teary eyed, I was crying...tears of joy! I will never forget that moment as long as I live.  I immediately called my mom even though it was late because I just needed someone to share this amazing news with...I was shaking with excitement and my heart was bursting at the seams...an answered prayer!! My son is now my brother in Christ...there's nothing better than that. He was baptized on Sunday May 19th...significant b/c that day marked the 12th wedding anniversary for Todd and I!! There is no greater anniversary gift. I love you son!!

I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which  I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Galatians 2:20
