It's all in the details

Friday, April 8, 2011

It's the eve before Ella's 3rd birthday party, she actually turns 3 on Sunday, and I am finishing up a few last minute party details. This year's theme? The Very Hungry Caterpillar, her FAVORITE book! I LOVE planning parties for my children! When most parents opt to have parties at fun places like bounces houses, bowling alleys, and skate rinks, which are great and allow you to just "show up" while they take care of the rest, I prefer to have parties in my home where I can get creative and play with decor....and stress out at the last minute trying to clean my home and get everything together, LOL! But it's always worth the effort (to prepare and to clean up after the guests have all left) just to see how much my kids appreciate the details! I know the day will come when my kids will decide that my cutesie parties are not "cool" anymore but while they'll let me I'm more than happy to put in the extra work! Stay tuned for photographs of all the details! Have a great weekend!

Sweet Birthday Bash: a photo session

Saturday, September 12, 2009

Today I had the fun task of shooting my first birthday party event! Sweet girls Savannah & Morgan turned 3 and 1 and friends and family celebrated with a fun outdoor bash at the park. There were lots of balloons, hotdogs, and cake and the hit of the day were the candy-filled pinatas! Everyone had a great time and the sweet birthday girls really dove into their cake and made a mess! It was a joy to photograph their special day! J&J I hope you enjoy this peek into your little girls' fun-filled afternoon!
