It's a frigid snowy day here in NC! The temperature fluctuates somewhere in the teens and I think we have 9-12 inches on the ground depending on what part of the yard you measure. The perfect day for staying inside and hanging out.
One thing we love to do whenever it snows is make Snow Cream! I thought I'd do a quick course on how to make it. All you need is:
10 cups of packed snow (no yellow!)
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1-2 tbsp vanilla extract
My sweet Halle was more than willing to assist me. First pour the milk, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl. Stir until well mixed and sugar is dissolved in the milk. Then pour the sugar mixture into your bowl of snow.
Lastly, stir together until you get the creamy consistency of homemade icecream!
Scoop and serve immediately! ENJOY!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Look at that winterwonderland!!! As always, love the pictures you take...btw, I'm looking into possibly getting a new camera soon. I LOVE the one you have, but not sure if I can afford it. Do you still have my email address? Could you send me some details as to what you invested into your photography before starting the business? gummirae@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI also love to make snow cream but our snow has a layer of sleet on it and we were not able to get any of the "soft stuff" that you need. My mama taught me how to make snow cream and we always made it to celebrate the first snow!
ReplyDeleteI adore your pictures and would love for you to have some tutorials for folks like me that just want to take better pictures, think about it please!
mrs. c, I am actually working on some basic photography lessons for those who want to improve their picture taking skills. Keep checking back!

What beautiful pictures and what a beautiful family! Love the snow cream! It looks so yummy! We got a bunch of snow here in VA too! Can't wait to make some with my little girl!
ReplyDeleteMy girls have grown up and left the nest, but my absolute favorite thing to do when it snowed was to make snow ice cream! I can still smell the vanilla. Thanks for the memories.
