It's all in the details

It's the eve before Ella's 3rd birthday party, she actually turns 3 on Sunday, and I am finishing up a few last minute party details. This year's theme? The Very Hungry Caterpillar, her FAVORITE book! I LOVE planning parties for my children! When most parents opt to have parties at fun places like bounces houses, bowling alleys, and skate rinks, which are great and allow you to just "show up" while they take care of the rest, I prefer to have parties in my home where I can get creative and play with decor....and stress out at the last minute trying to clean my home and get everything together, LOL! But it's always worth the effort (to prepare and to clean up after the guests have all left) just to see how much my kids appreciate the details! I know the day will come when my kids will decide that my cutesie parties are not "cool" anymore but while they'll let me I'm more than happy to put in the extra work!
