I hope everyone enjoyed a safe and wonderful New Year! Todd and I went on our first "alone" date since Ella was born 8½ months ago. We made dinner reservations at Flemings Prime Steakhouse and enjoyed a wonderfully delicious (and pricey) Filet Mignon dinner. It was so nice to have dinner as a couple without any of the usual kid distractions. We didn't have to share our food either...except with each other! The service from our waiter was excellent! He was extremely attentive and always made sure everything was perfect. We enjoyed every bite of our meal and still have plenty of food for lunch today! We planned to go see a movie after dinner and we actually made it to the theater and through most of the previews. However, we got a call from my mom with Ella screaming in the background....Benjamin Button would just have to wait. We called it a night and picked Ella up at 7:50 (Hayden and Halle were enjoying a night at Todd's parents'). Such is the life of parents!
Ella, of course, was thrilled to see us! The reason behind her incessant screaming and fussiness?...two little ridges visible just below her lower gumline. That's right, Ella will soon be getting her first tooth...or teeth!
Hey Hana, That is great you guys got to get out. Us parents need that. Chad and I got to go out last night & we went to Flemings also. The service was excellent & the food was good (pricey, you are right). It was a lot of food. Very large portions. Sorry you didn't get to see the movie. I know you enjoyed the evening though.
