The sleep sheep is a great way to help your little one drift off to sleep! There are 4 sound modes including heartbeat, rain, ocean, and whale sounds. All are extremely soothing and relaxing. Heartbeat would be great for helping a newborn adjust to sleeping outside the womb while I personally love the rain and ocean sounds. My husband and I actually put it by our bed one night and we drifted off to sleep to the sounds of the surf rolling onto the beach. LOL! Both my girls ages 1 and 3 love snuggling with the Sleep Sheep. It is extremely soft and cuddly and big enough for hugging! I'm still here...

I'm sorry I've been AWOL over the last week. I've been busy taking photos, honing my photography skills and learning lots of new things about my camera. I've also learned some great new tricks on how to add amazing textures to my photos to give my photography an artistic touch. Livie & Luca generously sent me a pair of the Tootles in Pink for me to review and let me tell you, these shoes are awesome! First of all they arrived nestled in a sweet little box with a velcro closure and ribbon handle. These shoes are incredibly made. The leather is butter soft and I love the flexible rubber soles! I also love the ease of the velcro strap especially since Halle wants to put her shoes on by herself. These things are durable and will definitely hold up to lots of play!


Halle absolutely loves these shoes as well! She wore these all afternoon, inside and outside, and refused to take them off!! Usually with a new pair of shoes Halle ends up with blistered heals while she's breaking them in. No such thing here. She never once complained of her heels being the slightest bit uncomfortable! I'm sure that's due to the soft padded heel of these shoes. An added bonus to these shoes is that they are just so stylish and versatile. These are great with dresses and skirts as well as shorts and jeans. You just can't go wrong with these shoes!

What a Gift!!

Todd and I will soon be celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary (May 19th)and we've been trying to come up with something fun to do...a quick getaway. Well imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and checked my email to find that I had won a weeks stay at the Wyndham Cypress Palms Resort in Orlando Florida!! Talk about shocked...I was floored! We will be staying in a two bedroom suite with a full kitchen and living room! How cool!


The trip is in July and we're still working out the planning details but we are ecstatic! Funny thing is that when I entered this giveaway I had a strange feeling that this trip was meant for us. I chalked it up to just "wishful thinking" but all I can say is God is sooo good!

Ella's 1st Birthday, 100th Post & a Giveaway! **CLOSED**

We had quite a fun and busy weekend! Friday was Ella's 1st birthday and Saturday was her birthday party (Easter photos in next post)! We kept it pretty simple and had cake, icecream, and let the kids run around and play. Ella looked adorable in her tutu and appliqued "1" tank that I made for her. She loved her cake even though it took a few minutes before she would even touch it. She wasn't quite sure what to do with it until I put a taste in her mouth....then it was ON!!

You Gotta Try This Stuff

Ok, I have to confess! I just consumed an entire bag of this delicious "sweet & salty" Kettle Corn! I can't help myself! This stuff is so incredibly delicious! Just the perfect amount of sweetness and the right amount of salty. YUMMMMM!! I took one bite and before I knew it I had consumed the ENTIRE bag and was still digging for more....and then I licked the remnants off the side. Yeah, I did!....like you've never done that before! If you've never tried this stuff then you need to go to the store NOW and get some. You will be hooked. Don't feel like going to the store? Well, leave me a comment telling me why I should send some to you and one of you will recieve a packet to try. Yeah, I'm that nice....I'll part w/ one of my packets just so you can try it! Anyway, I'm off to watch Criminal Minds.....another one of my guilty pleasures!

Payin' It Forward- a giveaway **CLOSED**

Last night we took the kids to the circus! The hubby has a Ringling Bros. connection who called in some tickets for us....how nice. Well, nothing in life is ever easy. We showed up at the "Will Call" ticket counter to pick up our tickets and guess what? They weren't there. Surprise, surprise! They checked every box to make sure they hadn't been mis-filed, called the box office manager to see if they had a record of the order....nothing. Well, the show wasn't until 7:30 and it was 6:15 so we spent the next hour calling our circus connection in CA trying to get in touch with her to figure out what was going on. We had just talked with her a few hours before so we knew she hadn't forgotten about it. Obviously someone on the coliseum end had dropped the ball. Long story short...the hubby tried her office and cell number about 20 times (and left 20 messages) but she just wasn't answering.

There was no way we could go home at this point without breaking the hearts of 2 of our 3 kids. Ella could care less...she was snuggled against me in her baby sling. So, we walked over to the main ticket booth to purchase tickets. As we were stepping up to the window, a young man approached us with 5 tickets in hand. We figured he was trying to sell them and we were about to ask "how much?" when he said.."I have these tickets that were given to me and I no longer need them so I'm just payin it forward. If you want them you can have them. Free. Do you want them?". We stood there for a moment trying to process what he said. Then we accepted with huge grins all over our faces! He was grinning just as huge. We thanked him repeatedly and told him what a blessing he was. God sure works in wonderous ways! He knew all along that our tickets would not be at the "will call" station and he placed that young man in our path on purpose. It was definitely no accident!


So, in that spirit, I would like to "pay it forward" to one of you. I made this adorable set of pink and blue minky heart washcloths just in time for Valentine's Day and would like to give them to one of you. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post.
